Portree Independent Hostel

The spacious kitchen and dining room, housed in the original sorting room, is the perfect place to meet other backpackers whilst enjoying the fabulous view across Portree Bay to the Cuillins from the window.The reception and lounge is the original post office counter area, still with the original safe, clock, service counter and poste restante pigeonholes, and nowadays has a TV, internet access, WiFi and comfy sofas. The hostel sleeps 60 in rooms with up to four beds, whilst there are larger dormitories sleeping 6, 10 and 12. One dorm is suitable for disabled guests with an en-suite wheelchair-friendly bathroom.
