Beaufort House is a traditional Edwardian granite villa situated in the heart of Fort Augustus at the very southern end of the world famous Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. Steeped in history, Fort Augustus is midway between Inverness and Fort William; an ideal base to explore the Highlands – the ancient Caledonian pine woods of Glen Affric, the moody and magnificent Glencoe and the beautiful Isle of Skye are all within an easy drive from here.

The Highlands with its breath-taking natural scenery, ancient castles, wealth of history and myths are legendary and you don’t have to venture far to experience any of these; Urquhart Castle is less than a 30 minute drive from Beaufort House and a stroll down to the shores of Loch Ness for a possible sighting of the mysterious ‘Nessie’ is only minutes from our front door!

Situated on the Caledonian Canal, Fort Augustus has a great choice of pubs, bars and restaurants along with gift & craft shops; all of which are in easy walking distance of Beaufort House; as are boat trips on Loch Ness.
