Although categorised here under ‘natural wonders’, this place is actually supernatural. It is also not well known – there are no roadsigns to point the way. Luckily, it isn’t too difficult to find, just a short way off the main A87 south of UigA bizarre and delightful miniature landscape of grassy, cone-shaped hills, the Fairy Glen (sometimes spelt Faerie Glen) is a fascinating and otherworldly place to visit on a sunny summer’s day. A specific route is suggested but the exact route taken matters little – this is a place to explore. You should not go to spy on the faeries, for you will face retribution. Kind people are rewarded with good luck. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE GIFTS FOR THE FAE, the people that live in that area have to clean it up. PLEASE DO NOT STACK STONES!!
