I’ve followed Ali and her animal antics for several years. It has always been a dream of mine to stay on her farm. My dream finally came true. This little slice of paradise is more thanI ever imagined.
My main reason to stay here was to meet Ali and her menagerie. My travailing companion and I were promptly introduced to the entire farm. Arnbeg Farmstay is situated on a stunning piece of property with magnificent views wherever you look, including lots of animals. The animals are very well cared for and dare I say a bit spoiled LOL. “Mama Ali” goes in to the pasture and they all come running to their mama, the sheep act like puppy dogs.
The house is absolutely magnificent. I think it is the nicest place I’ve ever stayed in Scotland, and I’ve stayed in many places. The home is sparkling clean, comfortable and has everything you could possibly imagine in a self catering home. On a side note, Ali has a washer and separate tumble dryer, which was a huge bonus for me.
The furniture is comfortable and you are able to light a fire. I regret we didn’t do this.
I took some time to quietly sit and look around, and Ali didn’t miss a thing. Her decorating is subtle and beautiful and very Scottish. I had the master bedroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was a welcome wake up in the morning.My companion Paul felt the same about his room and bathroom, One of the highlights of my stay was looking out my bedroom window and seeing all four of Ali’s Heilancoos right outside the window. It really doesn’t get much better than that. In summary; Arnbeg Farmstay has everything you could possibly need, it is in a great location, not for from Stirling, or Doune, it s convenient to many attractions in the area and Ali is a wonderful hostess. I hope one day I will be lucky enough to return. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!
